A Job Full of Variety
By Jenny in Business | 0 comments
One of my criteria for getting a job was that it couldn’t be boring. I didn’t want to be some monkey sitting in a cubicle, and I thought that it would make sense for me to get a job where I could express my artistic talent.
My first job was at an art gallery, but I didn’t find it to be very engaging – talking about work done by other artists was not what I wanted to do – I wanted to get to practice my talents.
It wasn’t until I went for an interview at a tattoo parlor that I knew that I had found my calling. I was going to be paid to do my artwork in the form of tattoo flash designs. I had been drawing on my own arms for years, so why not get paid to do it to someone else, right?
Now, many years later, I still love all the many tattoos that I get to do on a daily basis. Though I specialize in tribal tattoos and Celtic tattoos, I have been known to do butterflies, fairies and the occasional dragon. All I can say is that I love my job as each day I get to do something I love, and no two days are the same. It sure doesn’t feel like work to me.
