I’m a drama teacher at Rock Canyon High School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.  I really have a neat little program, though it’s getting tougher and tougher to get our share of the “market” into the audiences for our plays, due to the heavy competition for people’s time with all of the community events and sports around here.

I know that drama teachers are beginning to have this problem across the nation from Seattle to Tampa.  Internet marketing might just be a neat answer for all of us.  I do get my announcements put onto the local HOA website, and onto an internet copy of our school paper.  Of course, I will get them onto our school website, too, just as soon as we get closer to opening night.  But can anyone out there tell me either of some other sites on which to advertise or else how to create a site of my own and then get it to be pretty prominent out on the web?  Of course, there are neat companies out there who will do site optimization for you, but we’re just a school and can’t afford a chunk out of our budget.

School activities are getting to be a big business like the real pros, and we need to step up and compete for our market share.  Internet marketing is definitely going to be the wave of the future for all of us.
