Serving People With Your Work Feels Good

I have been working in a non-government organization (NGO) for about five years now. I love the environment setting of NGOs. Unlike working in a corporate setting where rat-race could get very stressful, the NGO environment is full of nice people who are socially responsible.
But my problem with NGO is that work is sometimes not stable. What I mean is that most NGO workers are based on project from a certain funding agency. If a project lasts for five years, then after that, there may or may not be another project and that means there could be a gap in one’s employment.
I recently went to a college marketing and enrollment services department in a college near me to inquire about degree programs in human services. I learned that it could be expensive to enroll there.
My friend told me about how he obtained an internationally-recognized online masters program at a much cheaper cost and how he could work while studying. I wasted no time looking for an online education myself and I found a school that offers an online human services degree.
I will be enrolling next year and my studies will be simultaneous with my current NGO work. For sure I can apply what I will be learning and if in case my project with the NGO ends and no project comes in immediately, I can always apply for another job that deals with people nearby.
