Going Back to School

I am in my late fifties and have spent most of my life raising my kids and being a wife. However, now that I am approaching sixty I am re-evaluating my own goals and whether I have really reached them, or for that matter even tried to attain them. When I looked back at all that I have done I realized everything I have worked for or accomplished was for someone else. Therefore, I decided despite my age I would return to school and complete my bachelor degree.
I discussed it with my husband and he supported my efforts but he was a little concerned that our retirement might be delayed or altered by the expense of college. Due to our concerns we met with someone who specializes in financial advice. They suggested we consider pay up front for college to lock in the tuition price by premium financing life insurance.
We looked into life insurance premium financing and now we are able to fund my college education without changes our plans for retirement. I cannot wait to return to school and finally achieve something for myself. After all, I will be sixty anyway why not be sixty with a college degree.
