After taking a class at the local community college for seniors and computers, I’ve decided to bite the bullet and buy a computer. I had a lot of fun in the class and want to be able to see pictures of my grand kids and grand nieces and nephews that don’t live close to me. I also like the idea of being able to send email to friends and family whenever I want to and not have to worry about the phone bill or what time it is. I also like playing cards and think that playing on line will be a blast.

I’m just wondering if there is any difference between high speed internet service and satellite internet service. My neighbour has dial up, but I know I don’t want that. Way too slow. My son in law told me that I should go with satellite because it’s better, but then I’m wondering about going with the phone company.

Is one really better than the other? I just want to make sure I’m getting the best bang for my buck and I want to get it soon. I’m tired of having to go next door to use the internet.
