Though most of my family knows that I am not much of a spend thrift, they often have wondered how I have been able to live such an opulent life in my retirement.  I am always traveling when I want to, eating well, and having a jolly good old time.

But if you look at my bank account, you will see very little money in there.  In fact, it is usually empty and I don’t mind one bit.  You see, instead of saving money and investing it in the stock market like everyone else, I have been buying gold over the years and stashing it away for a rainy day.

I have always been a very good gold buyer and I have found countless deals over the years in various shapes and sizes.  I have everything from gold bars to boxes of gold jewelry all stashed away safely.

When I find myself in need of a little more money, I visit my stash and get what I need, then I go down to the local goldsmith to sell my gold.  It is just as simple as that.

So, for those of you saving for retirement, are you really investing your money properly?  I know that investing in gold worked well for me, so it might be something that you should consider too.
