Mother’s Day Gift Basket Ideas
By jRev in General | 0 comments
One of my favorite things to give my mom for Mother’s Day is a gift basket — not one of those that you pick up in the store, but one that I put together myself with little things I know she’ll appreciate. Here are some things that go well in these gift baskets:
- Bubble bath. My mom loves to take long, hot baths, but she doesn’t like to buy bubble bath for herself, so I usually get her some on special occasions.
- Lotion. My mom also loves really high quality lotion, but again, won’t buy it for herself — she usually gets the cheap stuff, so I get her bottles of the nice stuff for her birthday and Mother’s Day.
- Scented jar candles. She loves to burn candles — and of course, nothing goes with a hot bath like a little candlelight and candle scent! She also loves these new soy candles, which burn more cleanly than regular candles.
- New pajamas or a nice bathrobe. Gotta stay relaxed after that lovely bath!
- Chocolates. Turtles are one of my mom’s favorites.
- Homemade coupons for various things such as lunch or brunch at my house, a bath in my tub (I have a really big, deep claw foot bathtub at my house), an afternoon of antique shopping ("antiquing" as she calls it) together, and other mother-daughter types of things.
- Anything else I can think of. The way I figure it, Mother’s Day is for pampering moms, so I’m going to do the best I can to spoil my mother rotten!
