Planning Our Backyard

GazeboMy husband and I have lived in our house for over three years now, but we haven’t really done anything with our backyard yet.  We don’t want to do TOO much, really, as we love all the lilacs lining three sides of our yard — but it seems like  something is missing.

One thing we’ve — well, I’ve — thought of is putting a gazebo in the back right corner.  It’s a nice corner of the yard, totally sheltered by the lilac bushes, some of them the biggest in the yard.  It would be a really pretty place for a gazebo.

But lately I’ve been thinking that maybe a gazebo isn’t  enough.  Perhaps we ought to consider going all out and putting a a portable spa or hot tub out there.  Two person hot tubs really don’t cost that much, and it would be awfully nice to sit out there in the shade of the lilacs in the evenings, soaking in a hot tub.

But probably the most likely thing is that we’ll either put patio furniture with an umbrella out there — or that we’ll put a brick patio on the side of the house like we’ve been also discussing, and put our patio furniture there.  I think in three years of living here we’ve proven we’re probably not going to do anything more ambitious than that!

Oh, c’mon. Go for the hot tub! Lol! But seriously, try for the hot tub first. And if you really can’t, then you can start looking for patio furniture.

But do the hot tub first! :)

You should discuss the hot tub some more. You won’t regret that decision, I’m telling you!

    Oooh, hot tubs.

Hot tubs are fun. And patio furnitures are good for parties, too.

    Tough decision.

    Good luck with that!

Get the hot tub! I swear, you won’t regret it. My husband didn’t want to get one because he thought it was just too much. But now, I can’t get him out!

    Try it!

Get the portable tub. If you get tired of the tub in one spot, then just move it around. And if you want to get rid of it, it won’t create a big hole in your yard if you have it in the ground.

    Yeah, hot tub. ;)

Oh yeah. I know what you mean. I really want to get a hot tub but getting outside furniture is just cheaper and easier.

We’re still thinking about it though. Because a hot tub, way refreshing.
