Big Dogs vs. Small Dogs

Most people fall into one of three categories when it comes to dogs. Some people only like big dogs. Other people strongly prefer small dogs. And of course there are also those people who don’t like dogs at all.
Those people who find themselves shopping for a new dog will often come up against the problem of wanting a dog that is different from the kind of dog that is realistic in their home.
For example, someone who really loves big dogs may want to get something like a Bernese Mountain Dog. However, if that person lives in an apartment with no yard then it may be unrealistic to have this large of an animal in the home.
In contrast, someone may fall in love with a small dog like the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. This is a great small dog but it needs a lot of attention and care. If the person is really busy then it may make more sense to get a bigger dog that can be more independent.
It’s not easy to find the right dog. You have to compare what you like with what actually makes sense in your home. Eventually, though, most people do find the dog that is right for them.
