What a wonderful year for me this year.  I am so happy that I had the opportunity to spend Christmas with my folks for the first time in years.  Usually I have been so busy, or the weather has been bad, but for a change, someone was smiling on me and I am sitting down writing this blog post at my parents house.

It was really great to spend time with friends and family last night at my parent’s annual Christmas party and we had a blast.  Most of the people that come each year have been coming for my whole life and I have grown up with them.  I consider each one of them family, and it was great to catch up with them.

Despite all the good things that this year had to offer, I made a little mistake when I asked for my Christmas gifts.  Now, it isn’t anything horrible, but I guess that I must have told more than one person that I wanted a camera bag for Christmas.

Needless to say, I received nine camera cases under the tree, and I guess I’ll be taking some of them back.  This hasn’t happened since I was a kid when I asked for a copy of Big Shiny Tunes 3, and received four of them.

I guess I’ll have to pay a little more attention to what I say next year!
