French Open Tennis News Coverage Tells the Tales of the No.1 and No. 2

Anyone that watches the French Open tennis news coverage knows about the Federer versus Nadal rivalry that keeps this sport interesting. That rivalry has been the talk of the tennis world lately and with upcoming Grand Slam tournaments approaching, the talk just makes it that much more exciting.
Roger Federer has been called by many the greatest tennis player of all time. But there is one tennis title he has yet to win—the French Open title. He played Rafael Nadal of Spain in 2006 and 2007 and was beat both times. He hired Jose Higueras to help him win that title.
On the other hand, you have Rafael Nadal. He has been number 2 in the ATP rankings for at least 144 weeks and there is nothing he would like more than to watch Federer fall and see himself take that position. But Federer will not let that happen too easily, as Nadal knows all too well. The French Open tennis tournament news is always full of stories about these two athletes.
The King of Grass (Federer) and the King of Clay (Nadal) even played in an exhibition game with a half- grass, half-clay court in 2007. Going into the game, Federer has won 4 straight Wimbledon and Nadal has 72 straight wins on clay. In the end, Nadal triumphed but Federer will not stop seeking the elusive French Open trophy.
